This week I bought The Awakening because I was told by multiple people that The Summoning ending was a cliff hanger and that I MUST have the sequel on hand.
The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong
(Second book in The Darkest Powers series)
*SPOILER ALERT! Don't read this if you haven't read the first book. You've been warned...
If you had met me a few weeks ago, you probably would have described me as an average teenage girl—someone normal. Now my life has changed forever and I'm as far away from normal as it gets. A living science experiment—not only can I see ghosts, but I was genetically altered by a sinister organization called the Edison Group. What does that mean? For starters, I'm a teenage necromancer whose powers are out of control; I raise the dead without even trying. Trust me, that is not a power you want to have. Ever.
Now I'm running for my life with three of my supernatural friends—a charming sorcerer, a cynical werewolf, and a disgruntled witch—and we have to find someone who can help us before the Edison Group finds us first. Or die trying.
I also won a copy of Freaksville from Leap Books, along with an awesome bracelet. Thanks you guys! Unfortunately, my camera is broken (my little brother dropped it) so I can't post any pictures of the bracelet. But I can give you a summary of Freaksville!
Freaksville by Kitty Keswick
Every woman in the Maxwell family has the gift of sight. A talent sixteen year old Kasey would gladly give up. Until Kasey has a vision about Josh Johnstone, the foreign exchange student from England. The vision leads her into deep waters, a lead in a play, and into the arms
of Josh.
But Josh, too, has a secret. Something that could put them all in danger. To solve a mystery of a supernatural haunting, they must uncover the secrets of the haunted theater when they are trapped on the night of the full moon.

I'm so excited to read both of these books! They look amazing. What did you get?

I've read the first book in Kelley Armstrong new series, I haven't read the second. It's on my list. But, I need to get through edits on Furry & Freaked first. I don't know Kelley personally, but I love her books, too.
Looking forward to seeing your review.
