In My Mailbox (7)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by The Story Siren and inspired by Alea at Pop Culture Junkie. It is a list of all the books that I've have received over the previous week, whether I won them, bought them, or borrowed them.

This week I borrowed two books from my school library. I've read six of the books in my TBR pile, so I figured it was okay to give into temptation.

Can I just say how incredibly excited I am for both of these books? I've been meaning to read them for so long. I was the first person at the library to check these out, and they're in perfect condition. I'm planning on reading Shiver first.

Shiver: For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

Need: Zara collects phobias the way other high school girls collect lipsticks. Little wonder, since life’s been pretty rough so far. Her father left, her stepfather just died, and her mother’s pretty much checked out. Now Zara’s living with her grandmother in sleepy, cold Maine so that she stays “safe.” Zara doesn’t think she’s in danger; she thinks her mother can’t deal.

Wrong. Turns out that guy she sees everywhere, the one leaving trails of gold glitter, isn’t a figment of her imagination. He’s a pixie—and not the cute, lovable kind with wings. He’s the kind who has dreadful, uncontrollable needs. And he’s trailing Zara.
