Boys Are Better in Books: Noah Hutchins

"Boys Are Better in Books" aka "My book boyfriend" is hosted by Missie at The Unread Reader. This is a weekly meme in which bloggers can discuss a fictional crush. Swoon-worthy quotes and an explanation for why you chose the character are encouraged! Also, I enjoy choosing pictures that look how I imagine the character. If you want to join in this fun meme, visit Missie's blog

Noah Hutchins

“I don't like the thoughts running through your head.
I plan on staying here until you look me in the eye and tell me you 're mine.”

Who he is: A character from Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry, Noah is one heck of a bad boy. However, this doesn't stop him from falling for the tempting and broken redhead, Echo.

Age: 17

Hair: Dark brown

Eyes: Brown

Description: Noah is described as fairly tall with dark features. He has several tattoos and an intimidating appearance. He isn't afraid to get mixed up in a fight and can hold his own against anyone.

"Come here, baby." And with my words, Echo leaned into me soft, pliant, broken.

"You're not alone," I whispered into her hair as I cradled her in my arms. "You're not alone, because you have me."

And I love you, more than you could ever know.

"I've got you. I swear to God, I've got you," said Noah. "Stay with me, Echo."

I wanted to. I wanted to stay with him, but the shouting and screams and glass breaking in my mind grew louder.

"Make it stop."

He tightened his grip on my arms. "Fight, Echo! You've got to f-ing fight. Come on, baby. You're safe."

Not sure how I felt about Antonio and Echo, I linked my fingers with hers. Antonio cocked a surprised eyebrow.

Damn straight, bro. I just marked my territory.

If you’re scared, tell me. If you need to cry and scream, then do it. And you sure as hell don’t walk away from us because you think it would be better for me. Here’s the reality, Echo: I want to be by your side. If you want to go to the mall stark naked so you can show the world your scars, then let me hold your hand. If you want to see your mom, then tell me that too. I may not always understand, but damn, baby, I’ll try.

Noah is your classic bad boy. He's the guy all parents fear their daughter will date. All things point against liking him, but like all of the girls who have devoured Pushing the Limits, I couldn't help but adore him. I chose Louis Prades to represent Noah.
