TV Shows for Book Lovers: New Girl

For several years, I barely watched any television. I assumed that most tv series were shallow or unoriginal. I guess Disney Channel corrupted me when I grew up, and I can't stand stupid sitcoms. However, ever since I got a Netflix account and received access to hundreds of new movies and television series, I've become an avid television watcher. So, I've decided to occasionally share one of the many series I'm addicted to.

New Girl just makes me happy. No matter how horrible my day might have been, this show can always bring a smile to my face. It's fresh, hilarious, and a blast to watch. I adore all of the characters. Schmidt and his ego, Nick and his old man traits, Winston and his "brown lightning." And then of course there's Jess, who is the weirdest, quirkiest, most lovable girl on television today. How can you not develop a love for this show?
"New Girl is an American television sitcom that premiered on Fox on September 20, 2011. It stars Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, and Hannah Simone."

Jess begins looking for a new place to live after catching her boyfriend cheating on her. Seeing an ad for a new roommate on Craigslist, she moves in with three young men: Nick, Schmidt, and Coach. Very shortly after her move, Coach moves out, and is replaced by Winston, another young man who had previously lived in the apartment with Nick and Schmidt." (taken from
This video pretty much describes why I adore this show. After watching it, you will hopefully understand why I'm recommending this show to everyone who loves a good comedy and awesome characters.
