TV Shows for Book Lovers: Lost

For several years, I barely watched any television. I assumed that most tv series were shallow or unoriginal. I guess Disney Channel corrupted me when I grew up, and I can't stand stupid sitcoms. However, ever since I got a Netflix account and received access to hundreds of new movies and television series, I've become an avid television watcher. So, I've decided to occasionally share one of the many series I'm addicted to.

Lost was one of the first television shows that I ever got hooked on. It is awesome. Seriously, no matter what you've heard about it from others, you've got to give it a try.
"Lost is an American television series that was originally aired on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) from September 22, 2004 to May 23, 2010, consisting of six seasons. Lost is a drama series containing elements of science fiction and the supernatural that follows the survivors of the crash of a commercial passenger jet flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, on a mysterious tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. The story is told in a heavily serialized manner. Episodes typically feature a primary storyline on the island, as well as a secondary storyline from another point in a character's life." This video highlights the emotions and characters that made me fall in love with this show. No matter how drawn out or confusing the plot got, I couldn't stop watching simply because I felt so connected to every character. I was invested in their lives and futures.

So, no matter how busy you are, set some time aside for this show. Oh, and be careful, because you may end up losing hours of your life to it. I had one friend who watched two seasons in a couple of days.
